YCInterim Program Lead – Etowah, NC

Job Title: YCInterim Program Lead @ Etowah Baptist Church

Reports to: Executive Director, YCInterim Program Director

Purpose: To impact the world for Christ through students, faculty, and communities through student led, adult-supported, club meetings on middle and high school campuses. 

Hours: 10-15 hours/week

Position Profile: The Program Lead provides oversight and leadership in order to grow the influence of the YCI ministry in the assigned area; including but not limited to, the given YCInterim partner church, local schools surrounding that church, and the schools with a significant presence of YCInterim partner church students. He/she does this by making YCI known on the middle and high school campuses and throughout the community within the area. The YCInterim Program Lead engages students, parents, and volunteers to further the YCInterim program goals while setting the YCInterim partner church up for success as they search for their new youth pastor/leader.  

Through the relationships with students, teachers, mentors, community leaders, donors and volunteers,  the YCInterim Program Lead strives to ensure that all YCI activities in the area are conducted according to biblical standards and adhere to YCI Policies and Procedures.  

This position is at-will employment, meaning that either the employee or YCI can discontinue employment  at any time, with or without notice and with or without cause. 

This position is a non-exempt position meaning, an employee whose position does not meet FLSA and  state standards for exemption. Youth Commission International requires these employees to track their  hours (using software provided by YCI) to be paid at an hourly rate. These employees must be paid  overtime at a rate of time-and-one-half their regular rate of pay for all hours worked beyond forty hours  in a workweek. An employee must receive prior approval from their supervisor before working  overtime.

Continued employment with Youth Commission, as is true for all employees, is contingent upon job  performance and the availability of funds. 

Job and Spiritual Growth Responsibilities 

Employee’s responsibilities include and are not limited to the following: 

• Prepare for and execute weekly youth program at assigned YCInterimpartner church under the  guidance of YCInterim Multisite Director

• Assist YCInterim Multisite Director to plan, attend and execute events for YCInterim partner churches including outreach events,  discipleship weekends, summer camps, etc.  

• Attend meetings with leadership of assigned church when needed (typically once a month) 

• Assist with sermon series preparation as assigned by YCInterim Program Director 

• Assist with other YCInterim partner churches as assigned by YCInterim Program Director 

• Visit YCI clubs located near assigned YCInterim partner church as well as clubs with a significant  presence of YCInterim partner church’s youth population.  

• Assist with club ministry in the Union County area as needed and directed by Director of  Ministry Development 

• Ensure that each YCI club follows the YCI model and provide direction and correction as needed 

• Continue to grow as a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ and a servant leader for YCI 

• Spend daily time in prayer and in the Word  

• Model servant leadership 

• Pursue Integrity, Serving, Teamwork and Excellence both privately and publicly 

• Sharpen skills through continued learning  

• Foster a coachable, approachable, humble spirit 

• Maintain accountability relationships 

• Seek worship and weekly involvement in a local church

• Seeks the Lord’s will for the ministry of YCI 

• Seek feedback from Executive Director and other YCI staff to improve ministry effectiveness • Pray for clubs, students, teachers, mentors, and community leaders in the area • Build relationships with students, teachers, mentors, churches, and community leaders that will  support the growth and sustainability of the YCI ministry 

• Share YCI vision and values in the community 

• Perform the duties and responsibilities that are reasonable and consistent with such position as  may be assigned to you from time to time. 

• Foster a spirit of unity and teamwork in completing responsibilities
